Seated Nyingma scholar

Nepal, 19th–early 20th century

Cast brass and copper. The Buddhist teacher at the school of Nyingma is holding ceremonial cymbals in his hands while seated on a lotus throne. At the bottom is a closed prayerbook with the symbol of two double vajra.
